Aurskog-Høland District Museum

The Local Museum in Aurskog-Høland consists of 16 houses and their interior furnishings, which were transported here to Bråte. Kinnestadbygningen represents a large farmstead typical of the district. Two tenant farms, a barn, stable, cow barn, a grain-drying barn and a smithy, together document the history of forestry and farming from the 17th century to the 1920's. The latest building that is rebuilt here, is a wash-house for baking in the good old way. There is a separate exhibit featuring the Finnish immigrants who settled in this region.
