Prøysen House and Prøysen Cottage

Prøysen House was opened in 1997 in honour of the writer and performer Alf Prøysen. The Museum includes various exhibitions, e.g. one about Alf Prøysen's life, a "Teskjekjerring" Theatre after one of his children's book characters, a library, fairy tale room and Solvang Café. Alf Prøysen's childhood home, Prøysen Cottage, is 800 m from the Prøysen House and the two are connected by the road called "Præstvægen", which is well known from Prøysen's writings. The cultural festival "Blåklokkevikua" (Bluebell Week) is arranged in July.
