Burial Site at Vang

The burial site at Vang is the second largest in Scandinavia from the pre-Christian era. This was a common burial site for 20 - 40 farms for 700 years or more, and contains around 800 burial mounds. Each farm was assigned its own area of the site. Various tools and other objects often accompanied their owners to their final resting places. There is a trail around the site, and information boards explain about the burial site.
