Gravholmen in Espedalen

Gravholmen (graveyard) in Espedalen The graveyard, a wooded and heather-covered mountain outcrop, was taken into use in the period of the nikkel works, from 1845. It is marked by a memorial stone just by the entrance to the churchyard. The atmosphere and surroundings are rather different from what we are accustomed to in churchyards. The graveyard is linked to Verksodden by a footbridge.
