Dunderbakken sawmill

Dunderbakken sawmill in Østre Skogbygd was built in 1894 as a collaborative project for the surrounding farms and mills. The water-powered sawmill has been restored, with its building, waterwheel and mill race. Information is provided to show how timbers and planks can be processed using simple means. The Kvernbekken stream provides a water supply and a reservoir has been constructed just above the sawmill. Public access has been created at the heritage site.
